Lauren’s Guide to using “BE SET FREE FAST” (BSFF)

“You are your thoughts.”

The thoughts you think really do shape your life.
It’s time to delete negative self-talk once and for all!

BSFF is a powerful tool to delete negative self-talk caused by beliefs that are holding you back.

For myself and others, we’ve found BSFF really, really works!

NOTE FROM LAUREN: “I am so grateful I discovered the “Be Set Free Fast” (BSFF) technique. A dear friend shared it with me after she transformed her life experience applying it. Thankfully, I’ve found the same lasting, freeing results. I am so excited sharing it with others so it can work for them, too.”

How to Apply BSFF

Excerpts from the BSFF book

Getting Started

Even if you don’t believe this technique can work,
it’s proven effective in removing negative self-talk and beliefs.

“Basically, what you are going to tell your subconscious is that every time you use your cue word, it will be a signal to your subconscious to eliminate the emotional roots and the beliefs that are automatically causing the specific problem you wish to treat.” – BSFF Book

Here are the steps

  1. Choose a Cue Word
  2. Read “Instructions to Subconscious”
  3. Determine Initial Beliefs to Treat
  4. Perform Technique

BSFF uses your cue word to remove self-beliefs you don’t want to keep and it works for physical beliefs as well. The book says that you are treating two kinds of statements:

1. Statements that, either consciously or unconsciously, you probably believe are true, but that it would be beneficial to no longer believe are true. Negative statements, such as “I can’t do anything right,” are in this category

2. Statements that, either consciously or unconsciously, you probably do not believe are true, but that it would be beneficial to believe are true. Positive statements, such as “I like myself,” are in this category.

By deleting the negative energy around these statements, the positive (or opposite) belief takes its place. While applying BSFF now I feel the energy shift and am aware of the new stream of thoughts coming. Suddenly, and usually happily, all these positive thoughts come swooping in and wipe those negative self-beliefs away. What a blessing!

Choosing Cue Word

Using the cue word is key to this technique

“The simple process of consciously noticing a problem and using your cue word will prompt your subconscious mind to eliminate that one problem. You just notice it and treat it by using your cue word…With just one use of your cue word, all levels of roots and beliefs involved with each individually treated problem are eliminated simultaneously. No matter how many roots are involved, your faithful servant will eliminate, or neutralize, the entire problem at all levels of your psyche.”

Pick a solid cue word that resonates without having any strong energy towards it. “Money” is an example of a high energy word so make sure you have neutral feelings surrounding your word. My cue word is “Breathe” and another person uses “Be Still.”

Here are suggestions of cue words from myself and the book. Your cue word can be whatever you choose and you can also change it

  • Breathe
  • Be Still
  • Terrific
  • Dynamite
  • Release It
  • I Can Do It
  • Peace
  • Joy
  • Just Do It
  • Go Girl/Boy
  • Be Free
  • Light
  • Praise
  • I’m Happy
  • Freedom
  • Keep Pounding
  • Shazam
  • Love

Once you have a cue word, proceed to the next step.

Read “Instructions to Subconscious”

“You will read the instructions below, either silently or out loud, only one time. From then on, your subconscious mind will always agree to treat anything that you have told it to. You need never give these instructions again, although you may wish to add to them. They will continue to be operative forever, unless you tell your faithful servant not to do this for you anymore.” – BSFF Handbook

You Must Read These Instructions Aloud
to Yourself Before Proceeding

Required Reading from Pages 23-27 of “Be Set Free Fast” handbook

Page 25
Page 26

Once you’ve read the instructions, you can continue and start identifying which beliefs and statements you want to treat.

Measuring SUD Levels

SUD Levels Throughout the BSFF Treatment Procedure, you can measure the level of the discomfort you are feeling with regard to a particular issue. The psychological term for this kind of measurement is SUD level, which stands for “subjective units of distress.” You can measure your SUD level when you start treating an issue and again at different steps of the treatment process. The SUD level is measured on a scale of 0 to 10, with 0 being none and 10 being the worst imaginable. In the BSFF Treatment Procedure, the goal is to bring the SUD level for the issue down to zero. Be Set Free Fast 33 SUD levels work well when you are consciously aware of a discomfort. When treating issues that you know or intuit are present but may not have strong feelings about in the moment, it is not necessary to measure the SUD level. If you do not recognize any intensity when you recognize an issue, you can ask yourself this question, “If I were having a feeling about this issue, how strong would it be?” Some people have trouble giving numeric values to their discomfort. If this is the case, just notice whether the discomfort is strong, medium or mild. The idea is to have some kind of measurement so you can compare how you feel at the end of a treatment to how you felt at the beginning. With practice, you will develop greater self-awareness and will be able to detect SUD levels more easily. Once you measure a SUD level, you might ask yourself, “How do I know it is this number?” What are you experiencing that indicates how strong it is? For example, if you are anxious about something and you measure it as an 8, you might notice a tightness in your abdomen, sweaty palms, jittery feelings all through your body, a slight headache, etc. By noticing each of these symptoms, you can compare them to what you feel at the end of a treatment.

Optional Preparation Exercises

Here are some journal questions the book recommends:

1. Do you feel resistant to BSFF? Why?

2. Assuming what we say about the potential effects of BSFF is true, what is it about being free of your problems that scare you?

3. Are you afraid that BSFF won’t work for you?

4. What are your doubts about BSFF or its ability to help you?

Exercise 5.2

• Sit in a chair, preferably with your back straight. Cross your ankles or place your feet flat on the floor. Fold your hands gently in your lap and close your eyes.

• Take a few deep breaths in and out.

• Imagine that you are traveling inside of your body. Ask yourself, “What is stopping me from moving forward?” Wait for any answer.

• Write what you hear in your journal.

Exercise 5.3

Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Put your attention in your abdomen. Do you feel any discomfort there? If you do, on a scale of 0 to 10, 0 being nothing and 10 being awful, how strong is the discomfort?

Scan different body parts. If you find any discomfort, measure the intensity of the sensation. You might also want to think about issues that you are dealing with and see how strong the intensity is when you do this.

Anger-Forgiveness Treatment

Use this to treat any significant anger during a standard BSFF session.

This is also used during the closing sequence every session.

I am now treating, in one treatment, all of my anger judgment, criticism and unforgiveness at or towards anyone involved in any of the problems I have just treated. Cue word

To tap for forgiveness, use the thumb of either hand to tap lightly on any other finger of the same hand while you repeat one of the following statements three times:

• I forgive you, ____________ [their name, he/she] is/was doing the best they can/could.

• I forgive everyone involved in the problems I have treated today, they are/were doing the best they can/could.

(Optional) I forgive you God (Lord, Father) and I know that you are/were always here/there and doing the best and right thing for me.

• I forgive you, The World/Life and I know you are just being what you are.

• I forgive myself, I know I am/was doing the best I can/could.

Treatment Procedure

1. Measure SUD

Decide on the issue to treat and measure the SUD level of your discomfort.

2. Statements

Think or say any statements that come to mind and after each one say your cue word.

[su_accordion class=””]

[su_spoiler title=”Click (+) for more details” open=”no” style=”default” icon=”plus” anchor=”” class=””]

State each problem and any underlying beliefs
that you can detect within the issue.

• I like myself. Cue word.
• I have a good mind. Cue word.
• I am a good person. Cue word.

“If I were to measure what I imagine my self-image to be, what number would it be?”  Step 2. Silently or out loud, state each problem and/or underlying belief that is related to the issue. After each statement, think, speak, visualize or write your cue word.

If any additional statements come into your mind, say them, followed by your cue word. You may experience some memories of times when you felt inadequate, embarrassed, or ashamed of who you are. You can turn these into statements that you treat by saying your cue word; for example: I was so embarrassed when other kids made fun of me. Cue word.

If you feel like repeating a statement, follow it each time by your cue word. Follow that instinct. There may be multiple problems underneath the statement, and repeated treatments can clear them all. Keep treating until you feel a sense of peace and calm, and if you measured the SUD level when you started, you notice that the SUD level has diminished, preferably all the way down to zero.

At any point, if you feel anger towards someone coming up, you can do The Anger/Forgiveness Routine we described in the last chapter. In the majority of cases, this is not necessary. However, some issues, especially those that involve violence or abuse, stimulate anger, and this needs to be treated with The Anger/Forgiveness Routine during the treatment for the specific issue.

3. Global Statement

At the end of a series of statements, you will make one final statement, called the Global Statement, which covers all of the residual problems related to an issue. You can vary the Global Statement as long as you make it all inclusive.

I am now treating, in one treatment,

all of my ___________ (name of issue)

and all of the limiting thoughts,

beliefs, attitudes, and emotions

that would ever make me keep

or take back ______________ (name of issue).

Cue word.

4. Measure SUD

State the issue. Take a SUD level again to see if the discomfort has diminished.

If you still have discomfort, do The Fail-Safe Procedure outlined below.

5. (Optional) Fail-Safe Procedure

Use this if you are still not getting your SUD levels down.

[su_accordion class=””]

[su_spoiler title=”Click (+) for more details” open=”no” style=”default” icon=”plus” anchor=”” class=””]

First state the persistent problem for which you are not getting relief. Then say each of the following statements, followed by your cue word.

Some chronic issues have a body-based component and need to be treated with The Fail-Safe Procedure as if it were the body that is resistant to letting go of the issue and use the words “my body” wherever the word “I” appears.

Fail-Safe Procedure

• I want to be free of this problem. Cue word.
• I am willing to be free of this problem. Cue word.
• I am willing to be free of this problem now and continually from now on (permanently, forever, etc.).Cue word.
• I give myself permission to be free of this problem continually from now on. Cue word.
• It’s okay for me to be completely free of this problem continually from now on. Cue word.
• I deserve to be permanently free of this problem continually from now on. Cue word.
• I will do everything necessary to see to it that I am free, and remain continually free of this problem from now on. Cue word.
• There are still one or more problems that will make me keep or take back this problem. Cue word.
• There is still something in me that will make me keep or take back this problem. Cue word.
• I am still vulnerable to taking this problem back sometime. Cue word.

Then say the global statement again and measure SUD. If any thoughts still come to mind, treat them with cue word and KEEP REPEATING THIS PROCESS!

My very first time took 2 hours to clear all the statements and it the lasting results are well worth it!! Now my self-treatment sessions are usually 5-30 minutes.

6. Multiple Treatments

If you still have discomfort, I’ve found just keep repeating the process, a long time if needed, and the belief will weaken. It’s so amazing when it does!

Treat as many statements or problems as you have time for in your session. After each separate issue, say the Global Statement and take a deep breath and measure the SUD level of your discomfort.

Summary of Closing Sequence

At the end of every session, do the following:

1. Treat the Stoppers. You can use one statement to treat all Stoppers.

2. Do The Anger/Forgiveness Routine for anyone involved in any of the problems you have treated during the session.

4. (Optional) Do the spiritual cleanup.

If you think of and treat any more problems after doing The Closing Sequence, you will need to do The Closing Sequence again.

“I forgive you God (Spirit, Mother, Father, Lord)

and I know that you are/were always there

and doing the best and right thing for me. Cue”

Then, tap, as you repeat three times:

“I forgive you God; I know you are doing what’s best for me. Cue”

As beliefs come you wish to treat, repeat the process and enjoy your results.

Assistance with your First Treatment

If you would like to have support during your BSFF process, I highly recommend my dear friend Bach. She’s the one who shared BSFF with me and she loves working with people. Bach and I came up with a win-win-win for you all and we both are willing to offer our time for consultations and sessions for applying BSFF. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND A SESSION! Just an FYI, BSFF has their own certified BSFF trainers, to view their list click here.

I am so grateful Bach walked me through my first session. I had read the book though not actually done it. It seemed every time I was going to do it, I would get so tired unexpectedly. I’ve learned those were subconscious little tricks to keep my status quo negative! After my first session with her, I jumped into BSFF and now I regularly practice the technique on my own.

Lauren’s Personal Experience

The first powerful negative belief I treated was “I am bad.” I KNEW I was bad because how true it was being reinforced by that negative self-talk. I felt that belief was apart of me so I viewed pretty much all of my behavior as “bad” or the similar crippling belief of “I’m not good enough.”

I accepted the belief “I am bad” because of how I perceived ONE incident in childhood shaping my young self-image. This negative belief meant I always felt the need to condemn myself, my behavior, my past and my future – it was debilitating. I could never be good enough to make up for being bad.

Once that nasty “I am bad” belief was treated with BSFF, my happiness and life dramatically improved. I honestly can’t even think of myself as “bad to the core” anymore because my thinking won’t let me go there! What a blessing!

Realizing now how I don’t feel the “bad core gloom” all the time makes me feel tears of joy and gratitude.  My first treatment that I did with my friend’s support took about 2 hours to remove my “I am bad” belief. Now I’ve gone on to confront other limiting beliefs like “I’m unlovable, undeserving of money, I’m fat, I’ll never have an amazing romantic relationship” and panic attacks during medical procedures.

As I go about my daily activities, I am much more conscious of my self-talk. If I don’t like what its saying, I use BSFF to weaken it on the spot! Then I do a 5 minute treatment at night to clear everything. Since applying BSFF, it has significantly deminished my negative self-talk and I am so much happier and freer in all areas of my life – I’m so, so GRATEFUL!

Dearest Readers,

I truly hope you experience “Be Set Free Fast” and find as much value from it as I continually do.

I would love to hear from you!
